As the year draws to a close and the holiday season begins, we take a moment to stop and wonder, what comes next?
The month of November is dedicated to the Holy Souls – those faithful who have gone before us having died in God’s grace and friendship, but “still imperfectly purified, are indeed assured of their eternal salvation; but after death they undergo purification, so as to achieve the holiness necessary to enter the joy of Heaven” (CCC–1030-1031).
If, as I die, I hear instruments tuning, you can be assured that I will hurry to join them, tighten my loose strings until I have perfect pitch then take my place adding to the celestial sounds of Heaven!
