If so, join us for Serving With Sisters summer volunteering at our Sacred Heart Retreat House and Motherhouse in sunny SoCal!

We have three opportunities for service during our Carmelite Sisters’ annual silent 8-day retreats (But you won’t be in silence!).  Please see below for date options.

Serving With Sisters is open to single women ages 18-35.

8 Days of Volunteering
August 18 – 26, 2026

Join the Carmelite Sisters for 8 days of volunteering during our sisters’ annual 8-day silent retreat. The week includes:

  • Time serving alongside our sisters, novices and postulants in the dining room and kitchen
  • Other volunteering/service projects at our Motherhouse
  • Extended time for adoration and prayer
  • Times of prayer and recreation with our sisters

*No conferences given by the sisters during this time of volunteering; however, participants have the option of joining in the afternoon retreat conference given to the sisters by the retreat master
