Preparing for our
Jubilee of Blessings
1927-2027
“…let us go forward. We’re in the hands of God.
There is no better place we could be.”
Venerable Mother Luisita
As we begin our preparations for the celebration of our centennial year in the United States, we invite you to join us in our prayer and celebration to mark this joyful milestone.
What is a Jubilee?
June 2027 will make the 100th anniversary of our Mother Luisita and sisters’ arrival in the United States. Our year-long preparation to celebrate this occasion is deeply rooted in the Old Testament, for God Himself inaugurated Jubilee years. We find inspiration from Dr. John Bergsma’s book, Jesus and the Jubilee, to understand this significant milestone. A Jubilee Year allows God’s family to receive the gifts of forgiveness, freedom, family and fullness.
100th Jubilee of Blessings
Our initial preparations for our Jubilee of Blessings is a singular grace for our community! The Lord has chosen us to be the sisters who will “cross over” to the next 100 years of loving fidelity to Jesus Christ and His Church in the United States and wherever He sends us into the next 100 years. And He has chosen you as our friends, to be the friends who will accompany us in the next century of our community’s story.
Jubilee Timeline
As we reflect on this time of grace, we can reflect on what Pope St. John Paul II saw as the heart of Jubilee: “The core of this great legacy is contemplation of the Love of Jesus Christ expressed in His Living Sacred Heart hidden in the Blessed Sacrament.” As Carmelites, daughters of Mother Luisita, we stand with Mary, drawing close to the Heart of Jesus who draws us close to the Heart of the Father who protects, provides, loves and guides us into the next 100 years. God bless and reward you!

June 2026
We join with the Bishops of the United States in the Sacred Heart Novena and officially open our Jubilee of Blessings on June 12, 2026 the Solemnity of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
At our different locations as able, we hope to have a procession with the Blessed Sacrament followed by Benediction, Divine Praises and to close with singing the Te Deum. Singing this ancient hymn allows us to echo Mother Luisita’s response as she arrived into a land of religious freedom.

Thanking our Sponsors
Standing at the threshold of the next 100 years, our community goes forward in hope, so aware of the great cloud of witnesses that surround us – our Venerable Mother Luisita and our sisters in eternity. We thank God that you, our dear friends and benefactors, will accompany us into this next chapter of our community’s story – our second century of consecration and mission to Jesus Christ and His Church.
