Did Jesus Have Feelings?

Did Jesus Have Feelings?

Our God has a Heart that longs for you to share everything with Him, all your hopes, joys, sorrows. We don’t ever have to be perfect to approach Him. There is nothing you have experienced to which He cannot relate. Talk to Jesus as you would a friend, and you will find a God who has a beating, Sacred Heart that longs to console you, rejoice with you, and to relate to you. He cares about everything you care about, because He cares for YOU.

The Holy Spirit Comes Softly

The Holy Spirit Comes Softly

Carmelite MusingsBy Sister Mary Scholastica, O.C.D The solemnity of Pentecost has come and gone and the Easter season is now officially over. Ordinary time, here we come. However, the Holy Spirit should never be delegated to a day nor a season. I’m not sure when I...

Persevere

Persevere

St. Therese

Carmelite MusingsBy Sister Mary Scholastica, O.C.D. I did not like St. Therese.  At all.  First off, prior to the convent, I was a bit clueless about saints.  Saints did not feel like real people.  Their holy cards always looked a bit too “fake”.  I also didn’t know...

Hiking Life: Attaining the Summit

Hiking Life: Attaining the Summit

Carmelite MusingsBy Sister Mary Scholastica, O.C.D. While walking along the mountain paths of Wrightwood, thoughts of life and how I approach life kept filtering through my mind.  The altitude, the creaking knees, the inclines (and I mean the INCLINES!), the pace, the...

Earth Looks down to Heaven

Earth Looks down to Heaven

by Sister Jeannine Marie “How shall I make a return to the Lord for all the good He has done for me.” Psalm 116 Spiritual Motherhood. Where did it all begin? It was a cold winter night. Joseph had built a small fire with what little wood he could find scattered around...

Joseph’s Consolation

Joseph’s Consolation

By Sister Isabelle, O.C.D. The rhythmic sound of a man steadily hammering away at work always brings to mind our dear St. Joseph. What a man! St. Joseph was a strong workman as so many good men who labor to provide the basics for their families today. Like them,...

The Healing of Heaven

The Healing of Heaven

Our world is in pain. Over the past year, we’ve watched illness, social isolation, economic downfall, social unrest, and political turmoil sweep away all normalcy, leaving fear and anger in their wake. Holy water fonts have been emptied and replaced by bottles of hand sanitizer.
