An Evening of Appreciation for Women Religious

The evening of Sunday, May 31st, found our chapel and plaza at Sacred Heart Retreat House packed with more than 185 sisters representing 26 communities from the Archdiocese of Los Angeles.  In celebration of this Year of Consecrated Life, friends of our community sponsored this evening in appreciation for women religious.

We began with evening prayer in the Chapel followed by a “taste of the town” dinner provided by donors, and ended with a special showing of the movie “Little Boy” introduced by producer Lou Severino.

Many sisters remarked that from beginning to end it was a beautiful evening.  One sister noted, “it is so nice to get together this way.  It’s not a meeting, it’s not a conference, it is just a time to be together and enjoy one another.”
