On September 15th, the Carmelite Sisters of the Most Sacred Heart of Los Angeles warmly welcomed three new postulants as they crossed the threshold into Carmel for the first time. Following a simple ceremony during the community’s evening Holy Hour, Erika Brown (Churchton, Maryland), Naomi Moore (San Diego, California), and Ashley DePaulis (Las Vegas, Nevada) donning their new blue uniforms, joined the community for dinner in the refectory (sisters’ dinning room). For nine months, they will study the Catechism, prayer, and Carmelite spirituality in preparation for a life of consecration.
On September 30th, we finally welcomed Isabel Galvan (San Diego, California) to the Postulancy!
The sisters ask for your prayerful support as these young women to learn to live a life of “Sequela Christi“, following Christ, as a Carmelite Sister.
