Santa Teresita’s Good Shepherd Cottage was honored once again for its state of the art design and craftsman style architecture…

The Cottage is featured in Architectural Design Showcase: December 2013.  The article lauds the design of the Cottage stating “accessibility blended into the cottage design includes adjacencies and ease of movement between functional spaces, allowing residents to navigate as independently as possible,” as well as recognizing that our main goal is “to profoundly respect the dignity of each person at every stage of the human experience.”  Click here to read more.

Santa Teresita’s Good Shepherd Cottage was honored with a 2013 Design for Aging Review Citation Award!

Santa Teresita is proud to announce that our newly built assisted-living facility, the Good Shepherd Cottage, was awarded with a 2013 Design for Aging Review Citation Award. The Good Shepherd Cottage will be featured in the upcoming AIA Design for Aging Review book as one of the top exemplary facilities in the nation, serving as a model both for design and operation. Our cottage was featured in an article by Gina LaVecchia Ragone for Long-Term Living Magazine: “To affirm and defend the beauty, the purpose, and the sacredness of all human life,” is part of the mission of the Carmelite Sisters of the Most Sacred Heart of Los Angeles.
